Happy New Year!

Hello Glossy Gurls I hope you all had a beautiful and inspired New Years Eve! I had a great night full of laughter and dancing...I have a great tutorial in the works for you right now, hollywood glam!

Although I know New Years resolutions are kind of cheesy I thought I would share my beauty resolutions with you!

To not leave my house without mascara on.

Mascara is a quick way to look more alert and more put together! This year I commit to taking a few minutes each day to perk up my pretty peepers! Check out my past post on work ready in minutes here.

Do a haul of my clothing collection and donate anything I didn't remember I owned!

I am going to be on the next episode of hoarders: buried alive... no not really but my beauty and fashion obsession can sometimes become too much. I have a lot of clothing I don't wear and probably don't remember ever owning. I have been guilty of finding clothes with tags still on them from months ago! This year I am going to take some time to donate my clothing.

To do a beauty dare once a month and share it here with you!

Think red lips? dramatic hair piece? Let's make this interactive you send me your beauty dares and I will do one a month full of pictures and will write about my experience here sharing with you how people react and how I feel through out my day!

To not get stuck in a hair rut!

I commit to this year changing my color or cut in some way every time I get it done! So many of us find a flattering cut/ color and just stick with that. Even tiny changes can make a big difference in appearance add a slight bang or some peek a boo highlights.

De-clutter my make up bag.

Make up has an expiry and I am guilty of holding on to things. Some make up purchases just don't work or aren't as I expected but because I feel bad about wasting my money I hold on to them. This year I commit to purging before splurging!

I commit to removing my make up every night before bed.

I am totally guilty of sleeping in makeup it's not healthy and totally icky when you wake up with panda eyes!

Quit smoking.

I have already quit smoking but I am putting this on here to help inspire other Glossy Gurls that are still smoking. If you care about how you look it's time to quit! Smoking causes wrinkles, orange nails and stinky clothing.

Stop biting my nails.

I really love nail polish and trying new manicures so it's time I stop biting my nails! To achieve this I will commit to not wasting my money on acrylic nails which totally shreds my natural nail and I will use Essie Grow Stronger on the reg. because it's super fabulous and will help strengthen my weak little nails.

There you go beautiful ladies these are my beauty resolutions for 2012. I will keep you all posted about my successes and challenges.

What are your beauty resolutions?

Be sure to send me your beauty dares!

  1. Excellent resolutions Nicole! I've always been very diligent about washing my face before I go to sleep, whether I have make-up on or not that day, every night, no matter what time, no matter where I am! It's when you regenerate and the best time to moisturize. Like you said, you can't keep your skin healthy if you don't keep it clean. Oh, and when you're done in your closet, will you come help me with mine? ;)
