Work Attire: Sexy not Slutty

Just because you are a professional does not mean you have to be frumpy but many women confuse sexy with slutty. Obviously wearing a low cut shirt or super short skirt just won't fly. So my go to sexy staple is the pencil skirt. I LOVE the look. It's sleek, professional but sexy. It reminds me of the 1950's or an episode of Mad Men. Pair your dark colored pencil skirt with a lighter or brighter color top like I did here and it totally shrinks your waist.  I understand this can be an intimidating look but I promise it can work! I am a bigger woman (obviously) and I was nervous for this curve hugging outfit but I receive so many compliments on it I just lost that insecurity FAST. I feel sexy and sassy without the slut. This is an easy outfit to transition from day to night, add some red lipstick, lower a button or two and throw on some dark eye liner for a sexy evening out look.

This look can also be paired with a sweater (this is a totally pin up look) but is equally cute and professional... I paired this skirt with a pair of mid calf black boots, also you can wear a basic pump. So go ahead be daring and invest in a pencil skirt. You'll be grateful you did!
