So how do you pull this off?
Mascara is my trick.. wearing mascara opens your eyes up more and instantly adds some alert to those sleepy peepers. Example:I forgot to put mascara on one day and everyone said to me "you look so tired" I quickly applied a coat of mascara (I keep one in my desk just in case) and instantly looked polished and put together. This is an important thing for any professional woman.
Have a little more time? Add a white eye liner to lower lash line, this highlights the whites of eyes and makes them look wider which makes you look more alert.
Bad hair day? It happens...throw on your hair straightener and put your tousled tresses up in a jaw clip (I use the small clips) and pull a few pieces down surrounding your face, straighten these pieces. The trick to a nice look is not putting the clip too high up on your head, keep it low. This adds a more polished look and looks more professional and less football game.
These two things have a major impact for me and for the people surrounding me. I feel more alert and don't have to hear "are you tired" all day because we all know what that really means "you look disheveled".
Tip: Remain true to you. The reason I look tired when I don't have mascara on is partly because I usually wear it. Be comfortable with who you are, not a make up girl? It's cool! You can try cold water... you don't need mascara to perk up those eyes, honestly splashing some chilled water on your face really does perk you up.
